Indonesia: KPK Investigate into Role of Klaten Regent`s Son in Bribery Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesman Febri Diansyah said that investigators found Rp3.2 billion in cash during a search at Klaten Regent Sri Hartini’s official residence. The residence was among six locations searched by the KPK in relation to bribes for appointments.
“We conducted searches in six locations on Sunday and Monday, investigators found some documents and cash,” Febri said at the KPK building in Kuningan in South Jakarta on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.
At the official residence, investigators found cash at Sri’s room and that of her son Andi Nugroho. In Andi’s room, the KPK investigators found Rp3 billion in cash. They also seized Rp200 million in cash in Sri’s room.
